Pool filters are a crucial component of your pool system. They collect excess debris from the water, “clarifying” it so that harmful bacteria don’t infiltrate and harm people who swim in the pool. It is extremely important to have the right filter for your pool situation. We will work with you to determine what model is best for you. Standard pool filters use grains of sand to clarify the water, a process that only filters particles larger than 40-50 microns. Instead, we recommend diatomaceous earth (DE) filters, which have a much wider filtration range. A DE filter requires less pumping power and only lets through particles 3-5 microns or smaller.
